As I need accuracy I'd be very interested in any fix reducing backlash.
First, let's identify if you have a problem: 1. What task you need accuracy for? 2. Is your dobot not accurate for the task with the stock firmware? 3. Is there a backlash in lever joints in your dobot? 4. Is there a backlash in any other mechanical parts? The base, for instance, is very likely to get loose with time because of the mechanical design issue (the screws on the bottom get loose and the motor's shaft gets pulled out from the base).
