Hi,
I am using a dobot magician as a 3D Bioprinter. I've replaced the boards with Ramps+Mega and flashed it with Repetier firmware, following paulmorrishill's instructions. Since I'm bioprinting, I feed my filament (bioink) into the extruder using custom-made syringe pumps.
I have my syringe pumps circuit working well on an Arduino mega. I want to incorporate the syringe pump code into the Dobot such that the print command on Repetier initiates the pumps to start flowing, then a little delay, then begin printing.
Is there a way for me to break into the firmware code and do this? I'm still trying to understand everything going on in the code.
Another issue: Currently, when I run the dobot using the Repetier, the arm retracts and gets stuck for a while, then it turns 90 degrees and starts printing midair. Any take on what's going on?
Your help would be highly appreciated. I'm on a tight deadline for a competition and need to get this working as soon as possible.
Many thanks

I don't know what's going on in repetier's firmware. It's not something I even tried myself and it has nothing to do with open-dobot
